Screening travelers before they even reach the border is one of the technologies Canadian company Inkas wants to develop with One Atlantic Solutions, which specializes in security solutions for public institutions. Their partnership was announced on October 9 at the Marrakech Air Show. The Canadian Embassy in Morocco confirmed the agreement, which targets the Moroccan market as well as other African countries.

Inkas’s proposed system can collect information provided by airlines, shipping companies and land transport operators. Travel itineraries can be reviewed starting 72 hours before departure. This gives authorities more time to check passenger data and identify possible irregularities.

The platform developed by the manufacturer combines this information with biometrics and artificial intelligence. It assigns each traveler a low, medium or high risk level to guide screening. The system is designed for airports, ports and land border crossings.

Inkas also aims to enter Morocco’s defense industry

The Canadian manufacturer took another step in Marrakech. It is among seven companies that signed agreements with the Defense Industrial Zones Management Company (SGZID), established by MEDZ, a subsidiary of CDG, and the Agency for Military Housing and Equipment.

MEDZ confirmed the signings, which concern the allocation of land for future industrial activities. Inkas joins companies including Arquus, MKU and Harmattan AI. These commitments are part of the development of Morocco’s defense industrial zones.

At the Marrakech show from October 7 to 10, Inkas also displayed three military products: the M1 MRAP, an armored vehicle designed to withstand mines and ambushes; the MLTV light tactical vehicle; and the Anuri interceptor drone, guided by artificial intelligence.
