CAF Orders Replay of Controversial Wydad vs. Espérance Champions League Final on Neutral Ground

Very good news for the Wydad Casablanca team. The match they had lost by forfeit against the Espérance de Tunis team will be replayed. This is the decision taken on Wednesday by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
This match must be replayed on neutral ground, that is to say outside of Tunisia, we learn from the advisor to the CAF president, Hédi Hame, who adds that the players’ medals as well as the trophies will have to be returned.
This match, which has upset many football fans, took place last Friday at the Rades Olympic Stadium. Victims of a flagrant injustice, a goal disallowed due to an alleged offside, the Wydad Casablanca players had not wanted to return to the field. The referee finally decided to end the match and give the victory to the Tunisians on their home ground and in front of their public. Double punishment therefore for the Moroccans.
The day after this match, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), under the leadership of Fouzi Lekjaâ, had decided to file an appeal with the CAN and it was heard today in Paris at this emergency meeting of the CAF Executive Committee. It was finally decided to replay the match and justice would be that Wydad wins and brings the cup back to Morocco. Inshallah!
According to the Arryadia channel, the match must take place in South Africa, a country that the CAF often calls upon.
