Caen Striker Yacine Bammou Out for Season with Ruptured Achilles Tendon

The Stade Malherbe Caen club will have to do without the Moroccan striker Yacine Bammou. The player is suffering from a ruptured Achilles tendon that occurred on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, thus ending the current season.
While there are still 14 games to play in Ligue 2, the Atlas Lion was injured during a training session last Tuesday. Bad news for Yacine Bammou, and a big blow for Stade Malherbe Caen, forced to play without their top scorer (17 games, 6 goals). Surgical intervention is scheduled for this Thursday and he will follow the long road to full recovery.
Under contract until 2022, Yacine Bammou had already been absent from the stadiums, in December and January, due to a thigh injury.
