Burglars Found Asleep in Spanish Home After Botched Robbery

Thieves who party and fall asleep after stealing. An unusual fact. Yet this is what three young Moroccans did, who were sentenced this week by the Criminal Court of Palma to six months in prison, after being found asleep in a house where they had stolen several items.
According to the indictment, the facts date back to September 20 when the three defendants had decided to break into a house located on a central street in Inca. After forcing the front door, they entered it without finding anyone there, as the owner was absent.
Taking advantage of this situation, the three intruders took the opportunity to relax. According to sources close to the investigation cited by the site ultimahora.es, they searched the entire house looking for valuable items. Not finding any, they set their sights on a small television set, a coin box and a brace.
Having also discovered alcohol, they drank enough of it and fell into a deep sleep in the house, one in the living room and the other two in another room. Unsurprisingly, they were surprised by the homeowner upon his return.
Faced with this scene, he immediately called the Civil Guard, who arrested the three suspects.
With the prison sentence having been suspended, the three young men will have to compensate the victim to the tune of 2,570 euros for the damage caused inside the house.
