Brussels Youth Honor Mehdi Bouda with Memorial Basketball Tournament

Young people from Brussels and volunteers have once again gathered around the "Justice for Mehdi" collective to pay tribute to the Belgian-Moroccan Mehdi Bouda, who died on August 20 after being hit by a police car.
Mehdi Bouda was only 17 years old when his fate tragically changed following a collision with a police vehicle. Since then, he has become a symbol for his friends, the residents of his neighborhood and many others who, united within the "Justice for Mehdi" collective, organize an annual tribute to the young man through a basketball tournament on the court that bears his name.
The "Mehdi Bouda" basketball court is located in the Dansaert neighborhood and has hosted for the occasion drawing competitions, rap and other events, and of course professional basketball tournaments, "Ladies" and "Men" categories.
It has been two years now that young people from Brussels and volunteers come to this event in order not to forget Mehdi’s memory but also to take action to advance the judicial decision which, according to some, is stagnating.
