Brussels Newborns: Nour and Adam Top 2022’s Most Popular Baby Names

For boys, Adam tops the list of the most popular names given to newborns in 2022. He is followed by Mohamed and Gabriel. In the top 10, we find names like Yannis, Amir, Noah, Rayan, Imran, Lucas and Liam, reports La Dernière Heure.

Nour was the most popular name for newborn girls in 2022. In second place, tied, are the names Lina, Olivia and Sofia. In the top 10, we find names like Emma, Aya, Maria, Alice, Eva and Sara.

At the national level, Olivia and Noah remained the most popular names given to newborns in Belgium in 2022. At the regional level, there are differences between municipalities.

While Adam, Mohamed, Gabriel and Arthur remained the most popular names for boys between 2013 and 2022 in the Brussels region, on the female side, the names Lina, Nour, Emma, Juliette, Léa, Alice and Victoria remained in vogue.
