British Tourists Among Three Injured in Knife Attack on Agadir Beach, Suspect Arrested

An individual accused of attacking three people, including two Britons, was arrested by the police in Agadir. A Belgian-Moroccan woman is also among the injured.
The 33-year-old suspect, with a criminal record, attacked with a knife a British couple and a Moroccan woman holding Belgian nationality while they were on the beach, causing them injuries, before he jumped into the water to try to flee by swimming, according to a security source cited by the Map.
The victims received the necessary first aid, it was noted, stressing that two people, suffering from superficial injuries, left the hospital, while the third victim was taken care of to treat her injury.
The investigations carried out at this stage of the investigation show that the suspect had been sentenced, to a custodial sentence in 2020, for drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The accused was placed in custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
