Bridge Collapse in Morocco’s Taounate Region Critically Injures Truck Driver

On Thursday morning, a bridge collapsed in the Taounate region. There was a truck crossing it. Its driver is in very serious condition and suffers from serious injuries.
As he was crossing the bridge connecting the Tissa region to Ras el Oued, in the province of Taounate, a truck driver transporting sand was unable to leave it in time when it began to collapse. This happened today, Thursday.
The driver would have had the reflex to jump from the top of the bridge to limit the damage. But this "accident" nevertheless caused him numerous and serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital to receive the necessary care.
Traffic has of course been interrupted and it is not yet known what exactly the truck driver is suffering from, nor the severity of the other damage caused by the collapse of the structure.
