Bouygues Telecom to Shift 150 Jobs to Portugal and Morocco

The management of Bouygues Telecom has confirmed its intention to relocate around 150 jobs, following a meeting with the unions on the strategic orientations. These positions will be transferred to the group’s subsidiaries located in Porto, Portugal, and Rabat, Morocco.
The management specifies that this measure concerns "about 150 people out of the 11,000 employees of the company", also assuring that "no forced departures are planned for these employees". The implementation of these relocations will be carried out gradually as the voluntary departures of the employees currently in position. The precise list of the professions concerned by this reorganization has not yet been communicated.
The trade unions have reacted to this announcement. The CFDT has stressed "the need for adequate support so that this reduction is not to the detriment of employees, whether they leave or stay". For its part, the majority union FO declared itself "very attentive to the workload and the associated psychosocial risk" for the employees who will remain employed in France within the teams affected by these job transfers.
In response, Bouygues Telecom indicated that negotiations would be initiated shortly. In accordance with the wishes expressed by the CFDT and FO, these negotiations will aim to "propose a mobility leave that would be implemented on a voluntary basis only".
