Body Found in Morocco Likely Missing Spanish Archaeologist, Officials Say

The body of a young woman was recently discovered on a beach in Tangier, Morocco. Everything seems to indicate that it is that of Úrsula Cortés Olivé, a 24-year-old woman from Barcelona, who disappeared on June 29 on the beach of Tarifa (Cádiz).
The local police in Tarifa learned on social networks of the appearance of a body washed up by the sea in the vicinity of Tangier. She informed the Civil Guard of Algeciras in charge of the investigation into the disappearance of the young woman, who contacted the Moroccan authorities to get information on the victim and make sure it was Ursula Cortés Olivé. The latter confirmed to them that the body could be that of the 24-year-old Barcelonan who was dedicated to underwater archeology.
The body bears a tattoo that exactly matches the one the young woman had on her left arm, reports El Español. The judicial police of Algeciras will take the fingerprints of the recovered body and carry out DNA tests in order to officially confirm the identity of the victim.
