Bilal El Khannouss to Bring in More Than 40 Million Euros

Two Premier League clubs are said to have recently made inquiries about the attacking midfielder’s situation. Their identities have not been revealed, and no official offer has yet been submitted to Stuttgart.

The German club is in a strong position. Bilal El Khannouss is under contract until June 2030, and his agreement contains no release clause allowing him to leave in exchange for payment of a predetermined amount.

Stuttgart had welcomed the Moroccan on loan from Leicester City during the summer of 2025. As the conditions set out in the agreement were met, the transfer became permanent for approximately 18.5 million euros, according to the German press.

The amount was not officially disclosed by either club. VfB only confirmed in May that the player had signed permanently after a first season concluded with 41 appearances, nine goals and seven assists.

A potential profit of more than 40 million

By agreeing to negotiate only above 60 million euros, Stuttgart could make a gross profit of more than 40 million on the 22-year-old Moroccan international.

According to Sky Sport Germany, the club’s executives nevertheless have no intention of selling El Khannouss after just one season. They could reconsider their position only if an exceptional offer were made.

Interest in the Atlas Lion intensified after his performances with Morocco at the World Cup, where he started six matches. Stuttgart still considers the player an important part of its sporting project.

El Khannouss is said to have told several people close to him that he was considering leaving. His playing time had decreased after his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, particularly during the second half of the season.

The Moroccan has nevertheless submitted no official transfer request. Nor has any club, at this stage, expressed its intention to pay the more than 60 million euros demanded by Stuttgart.
