Bilal El Khannouss, the Moroccan who wants to "break everything" in Germany

In an interview with Foot Mercato, the Moroccan international reflects on his successful integration in Germany (5 goals, 4 assists in 18 matches). A choice dictated by the need to grow in an open championship that suits his qualities, after failed negotiations with Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace or Newcastle. El Khannouss does not hide his relief at having left Leicester, where the prospect of another season in the Championship was excluded, especially with major deadlines approaching.

The number one objective remains the Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Morocco. Describing this edition as the "most important competition in Morocco’s history", the 20-year-old player brushes aside any negative pressure. Despite the immense expectations and criticism of the team’s play against low blocks, the message is clear: with a united group, a top coach and the home advantage, the national team is aiming for the final victory, nothing else. He also says he is reassured by the gradual return of Achraf Hakimi, whose injury had caused great concern within the group.
