Biden Administration Likely to Uphold US Recognition of Moroccan Sahara, Says Former UN Envoy

"I think the US administration will build on this decision, as it will contribute to stability in the region. I would advise them to consider [the impact on stability] regarding future decisions," he said in an interview with Morocco World News. According to him, the US administration knows what can increase regional stability and the factors that will harm it.

The former Israeli Minister of Science, Technology and Space refrained from commenting on his country’s position on the recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara. However, he welcomed the signing of the trilateral declaration between Israel, Morocco and the United States in December 2020.
