Belgian Rape Suspect Arrested at Casablanca Airport on Interpol Warrant

A 55-year-old Belgian of Turkish origin was arrested on Tuesday at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. He would be involved in a rape case. The man was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued against him by the Turkish authorities.
The suspect was arrested in Casablanca as he was disembarking from a flight from Belgium. The arrest warrant he was the subject of is a request from the Turkish authorities. The facts he is accused of date back to 2011 and are related to a rape case.
While awaiting his extradition to Turkey, the man was taken into custody. The Turkish authorities have already been informed of his arrest.
