Interpol Arrest: Algerian Fugitive Wanted for 2020 Marseille Highway Shooting Captured in Morocco

An Algerian wanted for more than 10 years in France was arrested on Sunday in Casablanca following an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol.
The suspect is involved in a homicide case, reports the DGSN, specifying that the case dates back to August 2020. The 33-year-old individual had orchestrated a shooting on a highway in Marseille. Two brothers were targeted, one of whom was killed by assault rifle, and the other was injured.
Under an international arrest warrant issued by the French authorities, he was apprehended upon his arrival at Casablanca airport "as part of its fight against transnational organized criminal networks," it is specified.
The operation of checking the database of the International Criminal Police Organization "Interpol" had revealed that the Algerian was the subject of a red notice issued by the French judicial authorities.
The accused was placed in custody in accordance with the extradition procedure, while informing the French authorities of this arrest, concludes the DGSN.
