Belgian Muslims to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr on June 4, Marking End of Ramadan
It’s official. Eid al-Fitr is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2018 in Belgium. This is what the Executive of Muslims of Belgium has just announced.
"The Executive of Muslims of Belgium (EMB), Representative Body of the Islamic Faith, is pleased to announce to the Muslims of Belgium that the first day of the month of Shawwal 1439 corresponds to Tuesday, June 4, 2018, the day of ’Eid Al Fitr’, marking the end of Ramadan for the Muslim community in our country," the EMB said in a statement.
"This announcement follows the conclusions of the Council of Theologians, which met on Monday, June 3, 2018, on this subject.
The EMB and its Council of Theologians extend their best wishes to the entire Muslim community in Belgium," the EMB added.
