Belgian Muslims to Celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Friday, Marking End of Ramadan
Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated this Friday, April 21, 2023 in Belgium, the Executive of Muslims of Belgium has just announced. Here is the full press release:
Following the meeting of the Council of Theologians today, the Executive of Muslims of Belgium (EMB) is pleased to announce that the first day of the month of Shawwal 1444 will correspond to Friday, April 21, 2023 for the Muslim population of Belgium.
On the occasion of "Eid Al Fitr", which marks the end of the month of Ramadan for the Muslim population of our country, the EMB extends its best wishes for peace, health, happiness and prosperity.
We invite citizens of the Muslim faith to celebrate this feast with their family, neighbors and friends of all faiths, in an atmosphere of peace and serenity.
May this day be an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us, to share our love and solidarity, especially towards those who celebrate Eid without being able to be surrounded by those who are dear to them.
