Belgian Muslim Council Issues Ramadan Guidelines Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

In a poster published for the faithful, the Executive of Muslims in Belgium (EMB) has provided some useful advice to be observed during the upcoming Ramadan, in this period of confinement.
Placed under the theme: "A month of fasting under the sign of wisdom, patience and solidarity", this poster invites Muslims to perform the Tarawih prayer, only at home and among family members living under the same roof.
It also calls on members of the community to avoid gatherings of people in front of food stores. While asking them not to wait until the end of the day before making purchases, the EMB recommends that they be moderate in their purchases and avoid any waste.
Regarding the breaking of the fast meals, the Executive recommends that they be taken at home and shared only among the family members living there. It has also banned the invitation of relatives, friends and neighbors as well as gatherings after the iftars. As for the faithful who remain awake, they must be attentive to preserving the tranquility of their neighborhood.
