Belgian-Moroccan Drug Smugglers Sentenced in Spain for Hashish Trafficking

Moroccans residing in Belgium, who were arrested last summer in Ceuta for drug trafficking, have just been heavily sentenced by the Spanish justice system.
In late August, the Spanish police intercepted four cars coming from Morocco with Belgians on board. Two of them, seized with dozens of kilos of drugs, were tried and convicted by the Spanish justice system.
According to El Faro de Ceuta, these two Belgian nationals of Moroccan origin were transporting large quantities of hashish. While one, with 27 kilos of hashish hidden behind his dashboard, was sentenced to three years and one month in prison and a fine of 57,000 euros, his accomplice, arrested with 87 kilos in the presence of his family, was sentenced to three years and six months in detention.
