Belgian International Nacer Chadli Set for Surprise Move to Westerlo

Two years after leaving the Pro League, Belgian international Nacer Chadli would be on his way to Belgium, but not to the Royal Charleroi Sporting Club as announced by some media a few weeks ago.
Under contract with the Turkish club Basaksehir, Nacer Chadli has scored only 6 goals and provided 6 assists in 51 appearances. At 33, he is looking for more playing time, and a return to his country seems to be the right solution. Charleroi was already delighted to pull off this transfer, reports Dernière heure.
But unexpectedly, it is announced that Charleroi is out of the game and that Nacer Chadli should sign with Westerlo, a promoted club from D1B. He should undergo his medical check-up on Tuesday before signing a two-year contract, thus becoming the fourth player to join the Belgian championship during the summer transfer window after Toby Alderweireld, Dedryck Boyata and Jan Vertonghen.
