Bayern Munich Eyes Hakim Ziyech as Potential Robben-Ribéry Replacement

Following the double departure of Ribéry and Robben, the German club "Bayern" Munich is multiplying its efforts to acquire the services of the Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech.

Bayern Munich does not intend to let good opportunities slip away during this summer transfer window. And for good reason! The club has indeed seen the departure of its two iconic wingers, the Dutchman Arjen Robben and the Frenchman Franck Ribéry.

Several names are circulating in the Bavarian club’s sights, including those of Ousmane Dembélé and Leroy Sané. But Bayern Munich, having run up against the refusal of FC Barcelona and Manchester City to let these players go, the club’s management is considering a more accessible Plan B, which could well be the Moroccan Ziyech, valued at 40 million euros.

According to SportBild, Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has already met with the player’s agent, Mustapha Nakhli, to lay the groundwork for a future transfer, the same source reports.

Hakim Ziyech, 26 years old, who did not have a great Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in Egypt with the "Atlas Lions", eliminated in the round of 16 by the "Squirrels" of Benin, had exploded in a brilliant season with Ajax Amsterdam, with whom he won the Dutch league title and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
