Barcelona’s Xavi Eyes Moroccan Talent Ilias Akhomach for US Pre-Season Tour

Moroccan Ilias Akhomach made his debut with Xavi Hernandez at FC Barcelona this season. The coach has been closely following him since then and could call him up again for the pre-season with the first team for a tour in the United States.
Summoned by Ronald Koeman for pre-season, Ilias Akhomach could not respond because he tested positive for Covid-19. But that did not prevent the Moroccan from having a busy season. He played for the first team and the junior A team of FC Barcelona, and was called up for 11 international matches with the national team, reports Sport.es.

But according to the latest news, he would have declined the offer to spend his vacation in Morocco. Ilias Akhomach, confirmed at Barça B, has a good chance of doing the pre-season with the first team of Barça, which starts on July 4.
