Barcelona B’s Ilias Akhomach Impresses Under New Coach Rafa Márquez

The new coach of Barça’s B team has kept the same system and the same game model (4-3-3) as the A team led by Xavi Hernandez. In attack, he has placed in-form players like Ilias Akhomach and Estanis Pedrola, reports Sport.es.

Against Castellón, Barça B’s attack was very enterprising. After a first goal disallowed in the 9th minute, the Barcelona team opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal signed by Estanis Pedrola. But Castellón managed to equalize before the break, in the 43rd minute.

After the restart, Ilias Akhomach gave his team the advantage by scoring a superb goal with a left-footed shot. In the final stretch, the Barça team largely dominated their opponent who completely retreated into defense, eventually conceding a third goal just before the final whistle.
