Barcelona Sensation Lamine Yamal Poised for Massive Salary Boost Amid Rising Stardom

Lamine Yamal, the new star of European football, could see his salary increased in the coming months. His agent, Jorge Mendes, believes that the player’s current contract no longer corresponds to his status and is demanding a significant increase.
Since his performance at Euro 2024, Lamine Yamal has become one of the rising figures of world football. His remarkable performances have made him an indispensable player for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
The fervor around the young striker has not waned. The presentation of the FC Barcelona jersey for the 2024-25 season illustrated the enthusiasm of the supporters, with the "Yamal" printing quickly rising to the rank of the most in demand.
Driven by this observation, Jorge Mendes, Lamine Yamal’s influential agent, has decided to take action. He believes that the player’s current salary, set when he signed his first contract at the age of 16, is well below his performance and potential.
According to the Spanish sports daily "Sport", Mendes wants to start negotiations with FC Barcelona in order to revalue his client’s contract. The goal is to align Lamine Yamal’s salary with those of the team’s key players, thus reflecting his essential contribution to the club.
Lamine Yamal’s current three-year contract is due to expire when he reaches the age of majority. A new contract, running until 2030, should then be signed, with a significant salary increase.
