Barcelona Extends Contract of Moroccan Prospect Zacarias Ghailan to 2024

The young Moroccan player Zacarias Ghailan has just extended his contract with FC Barcelona until 2024, the Catalan club announced. The official announcement was made in the presence of Barça president Joan Laporta.
Under the terms of this new contract, the young striker’s buyout clause is 50 million euros. However, if Ghailan becomes a member of the Barça first team, this clause will be doubled to reach 100 million euros.
Born on June 28, 2002, Zacarias Ghailan has been playing for Barça since the age of 14, and has won the Spanish U19 championship. He is very familiar with the first team, having been called up several times to training sessions by Ronald Koeman.
The young player is part of the Moroccan U20 selection that participated in the African Nations Championship last January.
