Barcelona Expands Global Reach with New Youth Academy in Morocco’s Capital

FC Barcelona is further expanding its international training network by opening a new football school, the Barça Academy, in Rabat.
This is a first for the Catalan club in Morocco, even though it has already operated a center in Casablanca. This project aims to welcome around 400 children aged 7 to 15, who will be taught the principles of play and the values specific to Barça.
This new academy is the 28th of its kind in the world, and it complements the presence of the Barça Academy project in 40 countries on five continents, including campuses and training camps, according to a press release. Moroccan young footballers will receive an education based on Barça’s methodology, which encourages an offensive and creative game while emphasizing the values of respect, humility, effort, ambition and teamwork.
The objective of the Barça Academies is to provide comprehensive training to students while promoting the club’s brand image. The model has been successfully exported around the world, and in addition to the Rabat school, FC Barcelona directly manages other schools, including the Barça Academy Pro in Miami and New York, the Barça Residency Academy Arizona which also has an academic dimension, as well as 24 other centers spread across the globe.
