Ballon d’Or Controversy Ignites Racial Tensions Between Soccer Stars

Sergio "El Kun" Agüero had heated exchanges with Mounir Nasraoui, the father of Lamine Yamal, after the latter’s statements following his son’s defeat against Ousmane Dembélé in the Ballon d’Or vote.
The father of the Spanish striker did not hide his anger after learning of his son’s defeat against Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé of Paris Saint-Germain, who won the Ballon d’Or. "Something very strange happened here, it is the greatest moral prejudice that can be caused to a human being [...] Lamine is by far the best in the world," Nasraoui said to the press as he left the ceremony.
In response to these remarks, Kun Agüero called Lamine Yamal’s father a "negro cabeza" (idiot). Nasraoui’s response did not wait. "Check if your heart is working properly, otherwise you’re going to die," the Moroccan reacted, alluding to the cardiac arrhythmia that was diagnosed in the Argentine in 2021 and forced him to retire at the age of 33, while he was under contract with Barça.
And Kun retorted: "Shut up, Moroccan, without your son, you’d be selling socks on the street."
