Baccalaureate 2019: Morocco Sets Exam Dates, Addresses Teacher Strike Concerns

The dates of the next baccalaureate 2019 exam sessions have just been confirmed by the Ministry of National Education during an intervention at the Chamber of Advisors.
According to Saaid Amzazi, the baccalaureate exams will begin on June 12 for the first session, while the make-up session is scheduled to start on July 4.
During his intervention, the minister also announced several measures to avoid a "blank year" following the strike movements of contract teachers who, despite several government proposals, maintain the pressure and this 7 weeks after the beginning of the social conflict. For Amzazi, quoted by telquel.ma, "There has never been any question of a blank year. We are working together so that the end-of-year exams take place under very good conditions."
Returning to the baccalaureate exams, the ministry also announced the date of June 26 for the results of the first session, while those of the make-up session are scheduled to start from July 13.
