Asilah Unveils $4.4 Million Modern Bus Station with Abu Dhabi Funding

The new station that stands in Asilah cost 44 million DH. While the land on which the station is located was a donation from the Asilah Forum Foundation, the construction was financed by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for an amount of 34 MDH, and by the Northern Development Agency for an amount of 10 MDH.
In detail, the building covers an area of 15,000 m², and has more than 10 platforms, 6 ticket offices, 2 underground parking lots, dedicated passages for people with disabilities, 9 administrative offices, two prayer rooms and shops as well as a police station. In short, it is a masterpiece that is made available to the populations of the region, reports leconomiste.com.
The municipality of the city is responsible for the management of the bus station, while the land of the old station will be used to build a primary school and a museum. The city is also welcoming another project financed to the tune of 120 MDH by the Abu Dhabi Fund.
This is an educational complex, consisting of a "Nachoua" primary school with 18 classrooms, an art museum and an art and design academy.
