Two young men were arrested and brought before the public prosecutor’s office near the Court of Appeal of El Jadida on Sunday, October 18. They are accused of being involved in the death of a young woman.
The incident dates back to October 13, when the victim was found in an abandoned quarry located in the Esslamna douar, in the rural commune of El Ghnadra, province of Sidi Bennour.
The investigations carried out by the elements of the royal gendarmerie of Khmis Zmamra revealed that the deceased and a friend were in the company of the two accused, reports Aujourd’hui le Maroc.
The two young women then hastily left the home around midnight, after a boozy evening. On the way, one of the girls unfortunately fell into the pit of an abandoned quarry more than ten meters deep.
The investigations continue while waiting to find the young girl, witness of the death, who is still on the run.
