Morocco Bolsters Security: Auxiliary Forces Acquire 88 US-Made BearCat Armored Vehicles

Morocco continues to modernize its army. The Moroccan Auxiliary Forces have received nearly 90 BearCat armored vehicles from the American company Lenco Industries.

In a press release relayed by Army Technology, Lenco Industries reveals that it has finalized the delivery to the Moroccan Auxiliary Forces of 88 BearCat armored vehicles, manufactured in its main plant in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Equipped with military-grade armor materials and a powerful 4x4 system, the BearCat can easily accommodate 10 to 12 operators and move through rugged terrain. This armored vehicle is also capable of reaching speeds of up to 145 km/h for a rapid intervention in case of critical incidents.

The order from the Moroccan Auxiliary Forces includes five different variants of the BearCat, designed to meet a variety of mission profiles. Specially designed for international law enforcement, the BearCat Riot Control model is equipped with a robust hydraulic plow capable of moving cars, debris and other barriers. It also has protective screens on all windows, fire extinguishing capabilities and several non-lethal options for hostile riot conditions. The other BearCat variants delivered to Morocco include troop transport, communications and convoy protection.

The BearCat armored vehicles are part of the range of light and medium intervention armored vehicles that have proven themselves with hundreds of specialized tactical teams in the United States and abroad.
