The KC-390, a Brazilian aircraft that seduces the Moroccan army

Morocco would plan to acquire the KC-390 Millennium military transport aircraft from the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer. The Royal Air Force has already tested the aircraft.

According to the Spanish daily La Razón, Morocco would be interested in this medium-sized transport and refueling aircraft, which has two engines, to strengthen its fleet of military transport aircraft. The Royal Air Force has about twenty of this type of aircraft, including the American-made Lockheed C-130 Hercules.

The Embraer KC-390 can carry two pilots and a cargo officer (crew), 80 soldiers, 74 stretchers and 8 attendants, as well as 26 tons of cargo, including wheeled armored vehicles. The aircraft is similar in size to the American C-130 Hercules and can reach a maximum speed of 992 km/h, with a range of 2,820 km with a load of 23,000 kg; 3,220 km with a load of 19,000 kg; 5,820 km with 14,000 kg of cargo.

The price of this Brazilian-made aircraft defies all competition. The KC-390 Millennium is sold for nearly $50 million, while its competitors offer aircraft of over $130 million.
