Armed Robbers Target Marrakech Hammam, Customers Robbed at Swordpoint
Armed with bladed weapons and swords, six individuals burst into a hammam located in the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali neighborhood of Marrakech on November 23, 2019. They robbed some customers of their belongings.
The attack took place in a Moorish bath in the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali neighborhood. The preliminary investigation reveals that the assailants had acted under the influence of drugs. Upon arrival, two of them managed to subdue the employees by pointing bladed weapons at their temples. Meanwhile, the others seized the belongings and property of the customers. After gathering their loot, the criminals left for an unknown destination, reports the newspaper Assabah.
Alerted, the police elements went to the scene. After the initial findings, they listened to witnesses. Once this step was completed, the investigators conducted a large-scale sweep operation in the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali neighborhood, the same source specifies. The operation proved unsuccessful, but the police elements are actively searching for the perpetrators of this robbery.
