Arab Summit in Algeria Raises Questions About Morocco’s Participation

Algeria is hosting the next Arab summit in its capital, Algiers. Will Morocco participate in these proceedings?
Since the announcement of the holding of the next summit in Algeria, the participation or not of Morocco in these proceedings raises questions. Especially since the relations between the kingdom and its neighbor are still not good. On the Algerian side, as well as on the Moroccan side, no information has been communicated for the moment.
On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani, had traveled to Algeria to announce the organization of this summit in Algiers. On this occasion, he expressed the wish that the summit be a success.
In March 2019, the Arab heads of state and government had met in Tunis for the ordinary summit. They had decided to hold the ordinary Arab summit and the economic and social development summit every four years.
