Arab Champions Cup Future in Doubt as COVID-19 Delays Persist

The organizers of the Mohammed VI Cup of Champions Clubs continue to maintain the vagueness around the resumption of the previously canceled semi-finals due to covid-19.
According to the daily Assabah, this return semi-final between Raja of Casablanca and the Egyptian club of Al Ismaili, postponed due to covid-19, may not be completed.
According to the same source, the Arab Football Union (UAFA) is considering the outright cancellation of the competition, given the persistence of the spread of the coronavirus in the Arab world, particularly in the three Arab countries where the semi-finals of the competition were to take place, namely Morocco, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The Saudis were even supposed to host the other semi-final between Ittihad and Chabab of Saudi Arabia.
The most likely scenario is the awarding of bonuses to the teams qualified in the last four of the competition, including Raja of Casablanca. The only representative of Morocco had lost in the first leg of the semi-final by one goal to zero against Ismaily.
A few days ago, this Egyptian club had even sent a letter to UAFA to find out the fate of the return semi-final, which was to take place at the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca.
