APM Terminals to Invest $400 Million in Tanger Med Port Expansion

The Danish port operator APM Terminals has planned a new investment of $400 million in the extension and equipment of its platform at the port of Tanger Med.
"Today, the terminal is chaining and deploying the project of phase-3 of its development plan, aiming at an additional quay length and capacity similar to those of phase-2," said a statement from the management.
Ultimately, the quay length of APM Terminals MedPort Tangier will increase from 1200 to 2000 meters, while its capacity will gain 2 million TEUs, to reach 5 million in total, the note said.
To recall, the port operator launched the project of its phase-2 last April, involving an additional 400 meters of quay for a surplus of 1 million TEUs in operations.
