Aphrodisiac products? These online stimulants hide a real danger

The online market for aphrodisiacs is in the sights of consumer advocates. According to a survey reported by Assabah, many sellers operate in complete illegality, offering products with questionable compositions. To attract customers, these merchants often use the argument of the "100% natural product" or highlight a supposed Sahrawi origin, which is supposed to be a guarantee of effectiveness and authenticity.

To demonstrate the dangerousness of these offers, the president of the OMPC conducted a direct verification operation with a reseller. The exchange revealed a total lack of a legal framework: the merchant was unable to provide any proof of health compliance.

When questioned about the exact components, the mandatory laboratory analyses or the medical registration number, the seller could not present any official document.

This confrontation quickly came to an end. Faced with the OMPC’s insistence on marketing authorizations, the interlocutor broke off contact and deleted his digital traces, confirming the fraudulent nature of the activity.

In light of this finding, the Observatory has initiated legal proceedings and notified the competent authorities. The organization recommends the utmost vigilance: in the absence of medical and administrative certification, these "remedies" can be dangerous to the health of users.
