Amsterdam Airport Restrictions Force Royal Air Maroc to Reroute Flights to Maastricht

The new airport restrictions imposed by the authorities of Amsterdam Schiphol airport are forcing Royal Air Maroc and other airlines to transfer flights departing and arriving at Amsterdam airport to Maastricht airport.
"Due to the additional airport restrictions imposed by the authorities of Amsterdam Schiphol airport as well as those of the surrounding airports, our flights AT850 and AT851 initially scheduled to/from Amsterdam will be transferred to Maastricht airport between July 16 and August 10, 2022," Royal Air Maroc said in a message posted on social media. It specifies that beyond this date, and if this situation persists, a new system will be put in place.
"Our customers affected by this change will receive an SMS or email if the contact details are provided at the time of booking, the national airline assures. To check the status of flights, consult the ’manage booking’ section."
This is not the first time that RAM has been forced to transfer its flights initially scheduled to and from Amsterdam Schiphol. Last week, the company had transferred flights AT850 and AT851 connecting Casablanca to Amsterdam (in both directions) during the period from July 7 to 21 to Rotterdam airport, following the decision of the Amsterdam airport authorities to reduce the number of flights and passengers departing and arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol airport.
