Already established in Tangier, this Chinese group is preparing a factory almost five times larger

The operation appears in documents that Anwen Technology has just filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange as part of its planned initial public offering. In its official response to the Chinese regulator’s questions, the group states that its Moroccan subsidiary now has an industrial plot of 19,939 m² in Tangier.

The land was purchased in 2025 from Société d’Aménagement Tanger Tech. Anwen specifies that it paid 11.53 million yuan for the acquisition and obtained the title deed in January 2026. The document explicitly designates the land for the construction of its “Moroccan production base.”

This new facility is significantly larger than the one the group already has in the city. Its prospectus filed in Shenzhen reveals that Anwen currently leases a 4,200 m² production site from Tanger Med Zones.

An area nearly 4.75 times larger

The new plot therefore represents nearly 4.75 times the area of the current site. The lease for this first facility runs from September 2024 to August 2027, while the Tanger Tech land now belongs to the group’s Moroccan subsidiary.

Anwen Technology manufactures systems designed for the comfort and safety of vehicle cabins, particularly seats. The group develops heating, ventilation, massage and lumbar-support equipment, as well as various detection and safety devices.

Chinese industrial companies are currently multiplying their projects at Tanger Tech, where several automotive suppliers are preparing new capacities aimed in particular at the European and African markets.

In its official documents, Anwen has not yet disclosed either the construction cost or the commissioning date of its new Moroccan base. But the land purchase has been completed, its title deed has been obtained, and its industrial purpose is now officially recorded in the group’s stock-market filing.
