Algerian Woman Arrested Near Ceuta Border for False Identity and Immigration Attempt

An Algerian woman claiming to be Moroccan and poor was arrested along with two other women, one of whom was pregnant, by the Royal Gendarmerie services in the Belyounech region.
The woman arrested recently appeared in tears on social media. She explained that she had considered illegal immigration to Europe, in front of the Bab Sebta border post, due to her difficult living conditions and the illness of her son. In statements published on the web, she claimed that she was living in difficult conditions, suffering from her son’s illness and needed help. Many Moroccan internet users do not believe her story.
"He who lives in crisis does not have an iPhone... and God knows," writes journalist Ridouane Ramadani. This woman receives a financial aid of 500 dirhams and is registered in social support programs, reveals another journalist in a post on his Facebook page. "While she claims to be poor, at the same time, she was wearing a new and expensive mobile phone. Is she waiting for the state to buy her a car for example????", he wondered.
