Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune tasted Moroccan cuisine on Sunday, November 6, the opening day of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) which continues in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh until November 18.
Moroccan cuisine makes the Algerian president forget the tensions between Morocco and his country for the duration of a lunch. On Sunday, Abdelmadjid Tebboune was delighted with traditional fish and chicken tagines, mint tea, cakes and other Moroccan ch’hiwates prepared by a team from the Moroccan caterer Rahal who won the tender issued by the COP27 organizing committee, with the exception of the snacking part.
When the catering staff offered him "a Moroccan tea", the Algerian president responded with a "very eager" "ahlane, marhaba!" ("Welcome, welcome!" in Arabic), according to a reliable source at Le360. The same enthusiasm for "Moroccan cakes". According to the same source, Abdelmadjid Tebboune did not skimp on thanks and congratulations to the Moroccan teams of the Rahal caterer in Sharm El-Sheikh, for the excellence of the dishes offered.
