Algerian Customs Seize 100kg of Cannabis Smuggled on Donkey at Moroccan Border

Drug traffickers are not lacking in imagination to try to deceive the vigilance of the security forces. The Algerian Customs intercepted 99.9 kg of drugs transposed on the back of a donkey in the Ain Sefra region on the border between Algeria and Morocco.
This region has been under special surveillance since last June, when more than eight quintals of processed kif were seized. This operation is part of the fight against smuggling and cross-border trafficking of all kinds.
According to tsa-algerie.com, this year, the security forces have carried out operations that have made it possible to thwart several attempts at drug trafficking. This is the case in Béchar, last May, where an international drug trafficking network was dismantled and 80.5 kg of processed kif were seized.
According to the same source, the big traffickers are full of imagination in order to transport their goods to Algeria and other destinations. Specially trained and dog-trained donkeys are in vogue.
