Ajax’s Ihattaren Faces Uncertain Future Amid Alleged Mafia Ties and Training Absences

Could the Moroccan player Mohamed Ihattaren remain with Ajax Amsterdam, after his alleged ties to a mafia clan and his repeated absences from training sessions due to threats and intimidation they would have received?
Many believe that for his professional future, the player would do better to return to Juventus in Turin. But in a recent press conference, his coach at Ajax Amsterdam, Alfred Schreuder, indicated that the question of the player’s departure has not been raised. He stressed that he is in constant contact with the Moroccan international.
"I briefly spoke to Ihattaren this week via WhatsApp. I have a good contact with this boy. At first I was very enthusiastic about him. I still am, but we have now entered a different path. It remains to be confirmed, but there is no doubt that he is a fantastic player," said Alfred Schreuder.
For him, a possible return of the attacking midfielder to Juventus is not on the agenda for the moment. "No, no, no. Discussions are ongoing, that’s all I’ve heard. It’s not clear yet. I can’t say more, I just know the talks are ongoing," he said.
