Air France Adds Fuel Surcharges to Morocco Flights, Raising Ticket Prices

The airline Air France has announced to its customers that since June 30th, fuel surcharges ranging from 25 to 150 euros have been integrated into the price of the airline ticket. They concern about twenty destinations departing from Paris-CDG, including Rabat.
"We inform you that tariff updates were made on June 30, 2022 for the Summer 2022 season," the company wrote in a letter to its partners, quoted by L’Écho touristique. This price review concerns "a very limited scope," and does not take into account the lowest fares, explained a company spokesperson.
Calculated according to the distance, this surcharge ranges from 50 to 150 euros in economy class. On short-haul routes, this is 25 to 75 euros per trip, still only for the three highest fares in Economy, while on medium-haul routes, the fuel surcharge is limited to "a few destinations only and over a short period," with an increase of up to 150 euros per trip in Business.
The destinations affected by this increase are: Rabat, Belgrade, Birmingham, Bucharest, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Florence, Gothenburg, Lisbon, London-Heathrow, Madrid, Malaga, Milan-Linate, Munich, Prague, Rome-Fiumicino, Sofia, Tbilisi, Valencia, Venice, Vienna and Zagreb, it is specified. However, the same source points out, the increase applied was "tolerated until July 10 for tickets booked before June 29."
