British Airways Halts Ticket Sales to Morocco and Other Destinations Amid Industry Challenges

The airline British Airways has suspended the sale of tickets for scheduled flights to Morocco and other destinations.
Sales on British Airways (BA) domestic and European routes and via Morocco and Cairo departing from London-Heathrow Airport (LHR) have been suspended until August 8 inclusive, reports Mail Online. The company justifies this decision by the ongoing challenges facing the entire aviation industry, particularly the lack of flight crew. It hopes to resume sales next Tuesday.
BA has canceled more than 30,000 flights this summer and has canceled more. These cancellations follow the decision of London-Heathrow Airport to cap the number of passengers at 100,000 departures. Customers whose flights have been canceled can make other bookings.
"Following Heathrow’s request to limit new bookings, we have decided to take responsible measures and limit the fares available on certain Heathrow services in order to maximize rebooking options for existing customers, given the constraints imposed on us and the ongoing challenges facing the entire aviation industry," said the largest airline at Heathrow in a statement. The decision is to ensure that there are enough seats to accommodate the people concerned, it is explained.
