US Air Force to Fly Over Marrakech as Military Aircraft Go on Display
The US military aviation will take part in the Marrakech Airshow, from October 7 to 10. A flyover is planned, while the Utah and Alaska Air National Guards will display aircraft in the show’s exhibition area.

The participation is confirmed on DVIDS, the US defense information platform. The US Air Forces in Europe and Africa will take part in the event at Morocco’s invitation, in coordination with the US Embassy in Rabat.

The program has two parts: a US Air Force flyover and a ground display of aircraft from the two National Guards. Visitors will be able to see US military aircraft at the Royal Air Forces base hosting the show.
Utah’s participation builds on a long-standing partnership. The National Guard has been a partner of Morocco since 2003 under the State Partnership Program. The exchanges cover military training, as well as disaster response and medical assistance.
The partnership remains active. On October 1, the US Army notably presented a joint drone training exercise held in September in Agadir with the Royal Armed Forces. The air show’s program thus adds to activities conducted throughout the year.
A US C-130J also announced
One aircraft model already features in manufacturers’ presentations: the US Air Force’s C-130J. Security Review Magazine reports that it will appear alongside a Royal Moroccan Air Force F-16 in the program prepared by Lockheed Martin.
The manufacturer will also present an F-35 cockpit demonstrator, as well as models of the F-35A, F-16 and C-130J Super Hercules. Visitors will therefore find both operational aircraft and displays showcasing the equipment offered by the manufacturer at the same event.

Ahead of the opening, Lockheed Martin plans to hold an industry day on October 6 with Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is intended to identify Moroccan companies that could join its international supplier chains.
The Marrakech Airshow will then open on Wednesday, October 7, at the Marrakech air base and run through Saturday, October 10. The show combines displays of civilian and military aircraft, technology presentations and meetings between industry representatives.
