Air Arabia Chaos: Stranded Passengers Miss Funerals and Hospital Visits as Flight Cancellations Spark Outrage

Dozens of passengers on Air Arabia flight 30452, connecting Bergamo (Italy) to Casablanca, found themselves stranded this weekend following the unexpected cancellation of their flight on Friday, September 5th in the evening. The situation caused intense tensions at the airport, with many travelers being in urgent personal situations.
The cancellation, carried out without prior notice according to the testimonies, concerned members of the Moroccan community in Italy and tourists. Among them was a man who had to attend his mother’s funeral, another going to the bedside of his hospitalized wife, and a young woman who had not seen her family in Morocco for four years.
After protests, the Bergamo airport authorities intervened and announced to the passengers the scheduling of a replacement flight for Saturday morning at 6am, organizing their accommodation. However, once back at the airport, the travelers found that this flight was not scheduled, which triggered a new wave of anger. Reports of discomfort due to stress and fatigue were reported among some passengers.
Several travelers claimed that this type of incident was recurrent with the airline, denouncing a lack of respect for commitments and poor communication. Some called on the Moroccan authorities to assess the company’s compliance with the regulations in force and to ensure the rights of travelers are respected.
