Ryanair diverts a flight to Agadir in the middle of the night, angry passengers

For a flight that was supposed to last three hours, the passengers of a Ryanair flight from Bergamo to Marrakech were only able to reach their destination after an eleven-hour delay.

On July 2nd, the passengers of Ryanair flight FR3402 arrived at Bergamo airport to board a flight to Marrakech. The departure, initially scheduled for 10:05 pm, was postponed to 1:34 am due to strong winds, which caused delays on several flights.

The aircraft, which eventually took off, was denied landing permission at Marrakech airport due to "ongoing work," according to the pilot, who was forced to divert from his trajectory to land at Agadir airport, 248 kilometers from the initial destination.

This new inconvenience caused the passengers’ anger. To defuse the tension, the company offers to continue their journey by bus. But they firmly refuse. Later, they finally agree to disembark the plane after Ryanair offers to board them on another flight departing from Agadir.

The passengers reached Marrakech on July 3rd at 9:15 am, more than eleven hours after taking off from Bergamo. A nightmarish flight that they are not about to forget.
