Aïcha, 39, the woman who gave new life to the "oldest father in France
She is the one who illuminates the "golden years" of Pierre Sablé. At 39, Aïcha is living an extraordinary love story with this 91-year-old man, who thanks to her has become the likely dean of fathers in France. A portrait of the woman who shares the life, the land, and the fatherhood of this atypical nonagenarian.
It is a meeting at the top, in the literal and figurative sense. Three years ago, at the foot of the ski slopes of the Pyrénées 2000 resort, Aïcha crossed paths with Pierre Sablé. He, a great sportsman with a lively blue gaze, carried his 88 years with the vigor of a young man; she was to become the last great chapter of his life. Now settled in a magnificent farmhouse in Bouleternère (Pyrénées-Orientales), Aïcha is the mother of Louisa Maria, a 7-month-old baby who is the pride of her father.
A fruit grower by profession, Aïcha is not content to be the companion of the "oldest father in France". She is building the future with him, her hands in the earth. Together, the couple has just realized an ambitious agricultural project on their property: the planting of a hectare of pistachio trees. An undertaking that testifies to the vitality of their union and their desire to build, despite the 52 years that separate them.
If Pierre Sablé has had a rich sentimental life - six daughters and a son born to different mothers - it is Aïcha who has managed to rekindle the flame of fatherhood in this former real estate agent. "For 7 months, my little Louisa Maria has illuminated my golden years as much as her mother," he says, admiringly. In their tastefully decorated home, it is an almost ordinary family life that unfolds, punctuated by lullabies and bottles given by a 91-year-old father, who has remained "30 years old in his head" thanks to the energy of his young companion.
