Agadir Students Donate Tablets to Rural Peers for Remote Learning Access

Students in rural areas often do not have the means to afford a tablet in order to follow distance learning courses, due to the financial situation of their parents. Determined to contribute to improving the study conditions of these children, a group of students from three school groups in the commune of Taddart (prefecture of Agadir-Ida Outanane) distributed digital tablets to them.
In a press release, the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Agadir reported on the distribution of the tablets. A total of 73 students in the 6th grade of primary school benefited from these tablets. They will now be able to follow their distance learning courses.
This operation, which is part of the cooperation between the Ministry of National Education and UNICEF, was carried out in compliance with the health and preventive rules enacted to counter the spread of Covid-19.
For the record, this group of beneficiaries is part of an operation to offer 126 touch-screen tablets to students from the rural areas of the prefecture of Agadir Ida-Outanane, in order to allow them to follow their distance learning courses for the current school year and prepare for the next school year.
